How Our Waste Conversion Technology Works

Turning Unsegregated Waste into Industrial-Grade Thermoplastic Pellets

Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) is a global crisis — and the key obstacle lies in unsegregated, untreated waste piling up in landfills. At CIECO, we’ve developed a revolutionary zero-waste, no-segregation technology that transforms mixed MSW into bio-based thermoplastic pellets, with zero residual waste, no water usage, and no toxic emissions.

Here’s a step-by-step look at how our patented waste conversion process works.

🔁 Step-by-Step Waste Conversion Process

1. Raw Waste Collection & Initial Screening

We collect unsegregated waste — including organic matter, plastic, paper, rubber, glass, and even legacy waste — without the need for source segregation.

Reserve pits are used to safely store and mix the waste before processing.

2. Mechanical Pre-Treatment

The waste undergoes a series of mechanical steps to remove contaminants and prepare it for conversion.

Magnetic separation removes ferrous metals

Gravity separation isolates heavy inert materials

Scrubbing, shredding, compacting prepares waste for homogenization

3. Advanced Chemical Treatment

We apply a proprietary chemical binding process using water- and oil-based compounds that:

Stabilize mixed materials into a cohesive pulp

Neutralize harmful pathogens and gases

Ensure a safe, moldable output without creating hazardous byproducts

4. Thermal Processing without Combustion

The chemically treated pulp is subjected to low-temperature thermal blending (60–100°C), which:

Melts embedded plastics and organic binders

Dries and compacts the mixture

Avoids combustion, eliminating emissions of dioxins or furans

5. UV Drying & Granulation

The processed material is:

UV-dried in a sealed chamber to remove moisture

Compressed and pelletized into uniform granules

Enhanced with stabilizers to create strong, reusable thermoplastic pellets

6. Air Emission Control

Any gases released during the process are:

Passed through a graphene filter and scrubber system

Cooled and neutralized, ensuring only clean air is released into the environment
